The Journey Begin

“I am successful trader, I make $5,000 everyday and I’m really grateful.”

This line is my dream, my obsession, and my goal. I know there are skepticism around me, people just keep talking “you can’t do it, what you do is useless, you better find real job where you can have career and get a lot of money, see him/her/them.” And and and and what do you think will happen when their company closed down? or maybe the owner change so the management must change too.

I have seen too many people who I know not prepared when they lose their job, they not only lose, they also have no will to stand up again, and the worst they start to curse their luck and God. I have been in that position, so what I feel is sympathy also anger…. all things happen with a reason, and what your choice is not free of “RISK”, accepting the risk and managing the risk as low as possible is what you need to do in all aspect of your life. I’m angered because they have no backup plan as saving account to use when the worst happen while accumulating capital to go back to the battlefield.

It all started from choice, your thinking, your feeling, and luck, if one not ready to accept consequences from one choice better start to do it.

Let’s talk about trading, my style mainly short term trade when I trade forex, gold and futures. When the instrument I trade is stock, I prefer swing trading to long term trading. Trading actually is about ourselves, about our personality, our affinity to instrument we trade and never about someone else. Today Warren Buffet maybe investing in bank of america because he know that is good investment, but the important question is “do we buy Bank of america?” because of what? is it because of the oracle taking the front line? or have we done our through due diligence?

I don’t know what bank of america is, all I know that it is a bank and that’s all. With that little knowledge, surely I’ll avoid the news, except that I already made through analysis and clear plan for my portfolio, I’ll decide what to do with that company.

In stock market, I believe there is one saying from Buddha that apply:

“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense”

As fellow trader, my advice is start taking the responsibility of your trade if you haven’t, learn from the success pattern, repeat it, eliminate losing trade, never repeat it again. Lastly, keep journal to save yourself from trouble finding the pattern.
